Why I Started This Work: A Founder’s Journey

If there’s one thread running through my career, it’s this: I help founders bring their visions to life.

I've spent years guiding businesses through growth, evolution, and alignment, from running my own brand design studio (JSGD) for a decade to moving into large-scale corporate innovation consulting. Over time, I noticed something deeper—behind every thriving brand was a founder navigating their own internal shifts. Their energy, clarity, and confidence directly shaped their business outcomes. And yet, few were given the space to explore this connection.

That realization led me here. Terre~Prana was born out of a desire to support founders not just with strategy and brand-building but with the deeper energetic and leadership work that fuels sustainable success. A brand isn’t just a business—it’s an extension of the people behind it. And when those people are aligned, clear, and intentional, the ripple effect is undeniable.

My Journey: From Design to Brand Energy

I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of creativity and business. In 2008, I founded JSGD, a Boston-based design studio, where I spent a decade helping female-founded small businesses build beautiful, impactful brands. That work gave me a front-row seat to the challenges founders face—wearing multiple hats, feeling overwhelmed by brand decisions, and struggling to maintain alignment as they scale. We added consulting sessions to our intake process, providing deeper conversations and touchpoints, but so often, we still didn’t have the time necessary to unpack deeper core alignment issues.

From there, I took my expertise into innovation consulting for Fortune 500 brands in fintech, healthcare, and SaaS. Through ethnographic research and human-centered design, I quickly understood the ripple effects of misalignment at the top impacts on employees and customers. Working as a creative director, brand strategist, and VP for growing companies has reinforced what I had always known: a brand’s success isn’t just about its visuals, messaging, or ad budgets—it’s about the people behind it, their clarity, and their ability to lead with conviction.

Alongside my strategic work, I’ve also cultivated a deep personal interest in somatics, intuition, and holistic leadership. With a background in yoga, Reiki, and human-centered design, I see business growth as an extension of energetic alignment. My goal is to help founders tap into this alignment, balancing the practical and the intuitive.

I believe in bridging two worlds: the mechanics of building a strong, scalable brand and the magnetism of leading with clarity and resonance. Too often, founders get stuck in one or the other—either overly tactical and burnt out or focused on vision without a grounded execution plan. The real magic happens when these forces work together.

This is the heart of Brand Somatics, my signature approach to helping founders align their energy, leadership, and brand strategy. It’s about understanding how your internal state—your mindset, intuition, and emotional landscape—shapes how your business operates, attracts, and grows.
