I say this every year but… you aren't obligated to embrace the busy-ness of September. What if we extended summer's slowness a little bit?
It’s certainly hot enough here in LA to feel like we’re still in peak summer so I’m personally not letting it go that easily. In fact, I took myself to the beach this weekend, solo, after attending a truly transformative Sound Healing Training session. I didn’t have to rush home so I just sat there and allowed the rhythm of the waves and the late day sun to help me integrate all the new information I had learned that day.
And it donned on me just how rarely we pause for similar integration after times of change and personal growth. So often, we move right on at our same pace and shift our attention to the next thing.
So my suggestion today is to use this first week of September to pause and reflect on your summer. Give yourself an hour out in the sun to think back to all the areas where you grew. Thank the sun for all the energy it provided, thank yourself for the expansion, and allow those lessons to genuinely integrate into your system. You’ll be surprised what comes up.
